Skill farming

Updated

If you train characters to sell their skill points as injectors, mark them as skill farms. The Skill Farming page then shows each farm's skill points, how many injectors you can extract now, when the next one is ready, and what the farms earn.

The Skill Farming page.

Mark a character as a farm

  1. Go to Skill Farming.
  2. In Characters, turn on the switch next to the character.

How injectors are counted

In EVE, you can't extract a character's first 5,000,000 skill points. Every 500,000 skill points above that is one large skill injector. VoidForge also counts what the character has trained since EVE last updated its skills, so the number can go up between updates.

Injectors ready = (skill points − 5,000,000) ÷ 500,000, rounded down

For example, a character with 10,050,000 skill points has 10 injectors ready: (10,050,000 − 5,000,000) ÷ 500,000 = 10.1. The next injector is ready after 450,000 more skill points.

What your farms earn

Farm income is what you got for selling injectors, minus what you spent on skill extractors. What you spend on skill books is shown separately, in Skill books.

Injector margin is what an injector sells for, minus the price of the extractor you need to make it, at the prices you chose in Settings › Prices.

Get notified

Turn on Skill farm alerts in Settings › Notifications to get a notification when a farm has injectors ready and when its skill queue is empty. In Warn, choose Every injector, or wait until 2, 5 or 10 are ready. Farms with injectors ready also show in Needs attention on the Overview.
