Add characters
You add each character by signing in to EVE Online on EVE's own sign-in page. VoidForge never sees your EVE password. You can add as many characters as you like, including alts on other EVE accounts.
Add a character
- Go to Access & Sync and select + Link character. You can also find + Link character in the Account menu at the top right.
- On EVE's page, sign in and pick the character. For an alt on another EVE account, sign in to that account on EVE's page.
- Approve the permissions. You come back to VoidForge with the character added.
When you first set up your account, the Link your characters page lets you choose which optional features to allow before you sign in with EVE. Everything is ticked to start with; anything you leave out you can add later by re-authorizing.
If a character is already on another VoidForge account, adding it to yours moves it to your account.
What VoidForge can read
Some features are always included: wallet and transactions, market orders, industry jobs, blueprints, skills, the skill queue, structure names, corporation roles and corporation wallets. The others are optional:

Access & Sync › Permissions by feature shows what each character allows. A tick means granted, Missing means the permission wasn't given, and for corporation features the cell shows the role your character holds, or No role.

When a permission is missing
If a character is missing a permission, its row on Access & Sync has a Re-authorize button. Select it and sign in with EVE again. VoidForge asks for every permission that's missing. Pages that need a missing permission say so and link to Access & Sync.
Corporation columns depend on your character's roles in the game, not on permissions. If a cell shows No role, re-authorizing won't change it.
Reorder or remove characters
On Access & Sync, open the menu at the end of a character's row:

| Set as default | Makes this the character selected when you sign in, on pages that show one character at a time, such as Market Analysis. The first character you add is the default. |
| Move up, Move down | Changes the order characters are listed in. |
| Remove… | Removes the character from VoidForge. Its stored history stays, and you can add it again later. |
You can't remove your last character.
When data appears
VoidForge collects each kind of data on its own schedule, so a new character fills in over the first hour. Locations and skill queues update every minute, wallet balances every 2 minutes, mining and planets every 10 minutes, and wallet journals and assets every hour. Access & Sync › Data collection shows when each one last ran.
