Notifications

Updated

VoidForge can tell you when something happens: a job finishes, an extractor stops, a structure needs fuel, an order is undercut, or a skill farm has injectors ready.

Choose your alerts

Go to Settings › Notifications and turn on the alerts you want:

AlertYou're toldWarn
Job CompletionWhen one of your characters' industry jobs finishes—
Extractor alertsBefore a planetary extractor stops, and when it has stopped1 to 24 hours before
Structure alertsWhen a corporation structure's fuel runs low or it's reinforced; for alliance leaders, also sovereignty campaigns, raidable skyhooks and wars3, 7 or 14 days of fuel
Price UndercutWhen a sell order is undercut or a buy order outbid—
Skill farm alertsWhen a farm has injectors ready, and when its skill queue runs outEvery injector, or 2, 5 or 10 ready

These settings belong to your account, so the website and the Android app share them.

Where alerts appear

On the website, alerts show in your browser while a VoidForge tab is open, even in the background. The first time you turn one on, your browser asks if VoidForge may show notifications. If you blocked them, allow them in your browser's site settings. In the Android app, alerts arrive as push notifications; see The Android app.

Alerts tell you when something happens. Needs attention, on the Overview, keeps a list of what's still waiting on you.

The notification bell

The bell in the top bar shows how many alerts you haven't read. Open it to see them, grouped into today and earlier; filter by unread or by character. Select one to mark it read and go to its page. Mark all read marks everything read, and Clear all removes everything from the list after you confirm.
