VoidForge for recruiting

Know who you're letting in.

One bad recruit can cost a corporation ships, structures and trust. VoidForge puts an applicant's history, alts, skills and kills in front of your recruiters, with the applicant's consent and only for as long as you need it.

How it works

From link to decision in four steps

Applicants don't need a VoidForge invite to apply. They sign in with EVE, and the link only lets them apply to your corporation.

01 · YOU

Share your link

Post it in your recruitment channel, forum thread or in-game ad. Close it or replace it whenever you like.

What recruiters see

The whole applicant on one page

Public data from EVE is there for every applicant. Everything else is what the applicant chose to share with you.

Corporation › Recruitment › an applicant. Sample data.

  1. 1

What they can fly and earn

See their skill points, which of your hulls they can fly, their kills and losses, and what they earn in a month.

  2. 2

    Where they've been

See every corporation they've been in and how long they stayed. It's public in EVE, so it's there even if they share nothing else.

  3. 3

    Who else they fly

See the alts they disclosed and the corporations those alts are in.

  4. 4

    Worth asking about

VoidForge picks out prompts for the interview from their history and wars. They're questions to ask, not verdicts.

  5. 5

    Your recruiters' notes

Everyone who recruits for you shares them, and they're kept after the applicant's access ends.

Worth asking about

The patterns experienced recruiters look for

VoidForge points these out so newer recruiters catch them too. Each one has an innocent explanation as often as not, so it opens a conversation rather than closing one.

Short stays

They left a corporation within a month of joining it.

Frequent moves

They've been in four or more corporations in the last two years.

A new character

The character was created in the last 30 days, or has very few skill points for what they claim to fly.

Recently at war with you

A corporation in their history was at war with yours or your alliance while they were in it.

Kills on your alliance

Their shared kills include victims from your alliance in the last year.

Something you asked for is missing

They chose not to share a category you asked for, such as their alts.

Fair to applicants

Good pilots apply where they're treated well

Applicants see exactly what you'll see and for how long. That makes an honest applicant comfortable sharing more.

They choose

The list shows what you asked for. They can share less, and you'll see what they left out.

They see who looked

Each recruiter who opens the application is listed for the applicant.

It ends on its own

Access ends after 14 days, when you decide, or when they withdraw. There's no export of their data.

After they join

From applicant to member, the sharing carries on

Once an accepted applicant joins you in game, they can keep sharing with your corporation as a member, and their numbers count toward your alliance's totals. Your corporation can require it, and your alliance can require its corporations to share.

Shares with your recruiters

They choose what to share for the review. It ends when you decide, when they withdraw, or after 14 days.

02 · MEMBERyour policy

Keeps sharing with your corporation

When they join in game, they're asked to share as a member. You make it optional or required, and pick the categories.

Theron Glass → Quillon Arcworks
03 · ALLIANCEalliance policy

Counts toward your alliance

Their activity adds to your corporation's totals, which your alliance can require. The alliance sees the corporation, never the member.

Quillon Arcworks → Veyrune Compacttotals only

Members can stop sharing at any time. With a required policy, they're then listed as not sharing, and what happens next is up to your corporation.

Questions

What recruiters ask first

Does an applicant need a VoidForge invite?

No. Your recruitment link lets anyone apply to your corporation. Using VoidForge for their own characters still needs an invite.

What if an applicant shares nothing?

You still see what's public in EVE: corporation history, the character's age, security status and wars. The application says what they left out.

Can an applicant fake their skills or kills?

No. It all comes from EVE's official API through the applicant's own sign-in, not from anything they type.

Who can recruit?

The CEO, Directors and Personnel Managers can recruit, based on their roles in game.

Can we see alts they didn't disclose?

No. VoidForge only knows the characters on the applicant's own account, and only shows the ones they chose to disclose.
